When?
Check into local hotels on the afternoon of Sunday April 7th and enjoy dinner as a group. The Rendezvous will conclude with breakfast and bible study on Thursday morning, April 11th.
Highlights (subject to improvement)
Each day will have one significant event to explore the history, topography, and beauty of the area.

Guided visit of the Manassas Battlefield - Site of two significant Civil War battles. This is where General Thomas Jackson earned his famous moniker - Stonewall!

Drive portions of the historic Skyline Drive and explore the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Shenandoah National Park. We will stop for lunch, explore the Harry F Byrd Visitors Center, short optional hikes, and glorious photography.

Dive into the history of Culpeper which was first surveyed by 18-year-old George Washington in 1750. Enjoy a historic walking tour, visits to some of the local battlefields (Cedar Mountain, Brandy Station – the largest cavalry battle in the Western Hemisphere, and Kelly’s Ford). Enjoy a walk through Yowell-Meadow Park and learn about the Culpeper Minutemen’s strategic role in the Revolutionary War.
Bible Teaching with Ed Diaz
Ed Diaz will lead daily Bible studies. He will speak on "Sustenance from the Psalms. How to survive both good days and bad days."
Ed was the first director of Pine Cove Ranch from 1974 -1976. He helped found Walk Thru the Bible and served for 30 years as the Florida Area Director of Search Ministries. He and his wife Gwen now lead 71:17 Ministries. Gwen has written numerous books and writes a daily blog entitled ‘My Daily Briefing’ which provides an overview of the entire Bible in 365 segments.

Amtrack stops in downtown Culpeper. We can provide transportation from the depot to your hotel.

An easy 80-minute drive from Washington DC through magnificent Piedmont farmland and horse country.
Meals
Three dinners, three lunches, and one breakfast are included. The first dinner and the final breakfast will be provided at Dan and Cay Bolin’s cabin in the countryside just north of Culpeper.
